Being Nice

My parent's alway's taught me,
To everyone be nice.

But I've found out when you do this,
It's you that pays the price.

There's some that take advantage,
And do it with a smile.

It's true that if you give an inch,
They'll try to take a mile.

There's some of us that go ahead,
When folk's are in a pinch.

And jump right in to help them out.
And give that dadburn inch.
