Dawn over the Limfjord

The water flows, dull like oil
The bridge hangs, suspended, huge and fragile
The ships float deserted
The sky, clear and frosty blue - clouds smudged barely
The sun below the horizon.
Factories line the waterfront, still and silent.
Traffic streams across the bridge
Smoke plumes in the clear dawn.
Fogs of sleep cloud my brain.
A warm sheepskin envelops my body.
Off to work I go
On a beautiful, clear, winter, Danish day
Optimistic.
