In My Novel Talk

In my novel
called Talk
there is much
about sex.
Sex, a basic
form
of communication,
a ritual,
a callathump.
We will permit ourselves
the freedom
to speak about it.
We will revel in its
wordlessness,
its power
beyond speech.
In my novel
called Talk
sex is
the space between
the words.
We must be able
to accept its
authority, even
as it slips
away into silence,
even afterwards
when
everything said
is disallowable.
